Position SummaryThe Lifestyle Director is responsible for the strategic planning and coordination of resident programs within the HOA community. This role requires big-picture planning combined with the tactical execution of recreational, social, travel, cultural, educational, and entertainment programs.
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Lifestyle Director creates, organizes, promotes, and implements lifestyle programming for a multi-aged community. The position interacts regularly with residents, volunteers, and vendors associated with clubhouse activities.
The Lifestyle Director oversees facility staff scheduling, training, and daily operations. The role requires exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational ability, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities. With support from the General Manager, the Lifestyle Director makes operational decisions regarding the facility, staff, and community rules.

- Partners with the General Manager to identify, coordinate and market all community events, programs and services.
- Creates, organizes, promotes, and implements successful social activities and fitness programming.
- Oversees support staff to ensure facilities, events, classes and customer service deliverables meet the needs of the residents.
- Develops an active volunteer program among residents, solicit input and involvement from residents to stimulate awareness and participation.
- Works with residents to assist with their special interest groups.
- Secures all entertainment, food, decorations, and items necessary to carry out events.
- Oversees the operation of the member services/Rec Center desk.
- Attend Association related meetings as requested.
- Assess overall success of events through focus groups and evaluations.
- Creates a yearly and monthly lifestyle calendar of events to promote social and recreational interaction between among residents.
- Researches, plans, and executes successful monthly events programs.
- Seeks and forms partnerships with local vendors, businesses and community organizations to establish sponsor ships, educational seminars and a presence in the community.
- Responsible for ensuring efficient coordination of room scheduling and room set-up for all lifestyle events, board of directors and board committee meetings, either scheduled or unscheduled as well as other uses appropriate for the community. Coordinates with the Maintenance Supervisor for set-up requirements of maintenance personnel for major events in the clubhouse.
- Together with the General Manager, establishes, oversees, and supports board committees related to lifestyle programming.
- Prepares requests for funds for events, social activities and activity groups, together with any necessary or requested supporting documentation.
- Administers a lifestyle budget as approved by the board of directors.
- In accordance with approved guidelines, administers petty cash, cash deposits, credit card and cash transactions.
