Joining us as a Team Leader
, you’ll provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. You’ll be the front-line manager responsible for developing tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives.

Responsibilities- Provide leadership and development for tax office associates to deliver high-quality client service and meet office growth objectives.
- Lead daily activities to ensure work is completed on time, with attention to quality standards, priorities, and overall goals.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create associate work schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping, and manage overtime.
- Recruit and interview candidates for tax office associate positions in collaboration with leadership.
- Serve as the point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and resolve conflicts to maintain client satisfaction.
- Prepare tax returns as required and develop knowledge of tax topics and products to serve as a resource for associates.
- Partner with the District General Manager to develop and implement office-level growth plans and support local partnerships and community involvement.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns in partnership with the appropriate HR resources.
- Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or a similar role; experience supervising or managing people.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be a self-starter.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course* (if preparing tax returns).
- Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent (or higher).
