Maintenance Worker - Temp - Iowa Veterans Cemetery

This is a non-merit, temporary position. Candidates must follow the instructions in the “To Apply” section. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.

The hourly pay range for this position is $16.56-$23.92.

The Department of Veterans Affairs is looking for a temporary Maintenance Worker 2 to work at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, conveniently located along Interstate 80, west of Des Moines.

This person will be responsible for: operating power tools and equipment to open and close grave sites, setting and maintaining headstones, preparing designated areas for services, plowing snow, cutting grass, clearing land and other general landscaping duties.
