We are recruiting a Legal Counsel for one of our portfolio companies. Reporting to the Group General Counsel
, you will act as a key business partner, providing strategic legal support across the organization. You will ensure compliance with applicable regulations while actively protecting and securing the Group's commercial interests.
The role is based in Lyon, France.
Key Responsibilities Contract Management- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of industry-specific contracts with partners, primarily across Europe and APAC, including agreements related to manufacturing, supply, licensing, distribution, as well as logistics and service agreements.
- Act as a trusted legal partner to internal stakeholders (Business Development, Sales, Quality, Regulatory, Industrialisation, Finance, etc.) throughout the entire contract lifecycle.
- Ensure proactive follow-up, coordination, and clear reporting on contract negotiations and execution.
- Provide pragmatic and business-oriented legal advice to headquarters and subsidiary teams to support strategic projects, define business terms, and mitigate legal risks.
- Conduct legal monitoring and analysis relevant to activities and regulatory environment.
- Manage corporate secretarial matters in collaboration with external counsel, including board and committee meetings, statutory filings, capital increases, and corporate restructuring operations.
- In coordination with the Quality team, ensure compliance with applicable data protection and privacy regulations.
- Address day-to-day privacy matters and deliver training sessions to operational teams at headquarters and affiliates.
- Master's degree in Law; admission to a Bar is a plus
- Minimum 5 years' experience as Legal Counsel, ideally within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors, or in a reputable law firm specializing in these fields.
- Strong expertise in international contract negotiation and corporate governance.
- Business-oriented, hands-on, and results-driven.
- Agile, hard-working, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
