- Investigate and adjust workers' compensation claims with high potential exposure
- Analyze coverage, determine compensability, and establish reserves
- Negotiate settlements and prepare large loss reports for internal and external audiences
- Conduct meetings with insureds and claimants over the phone
- Collaborate closely with defense attorneys and other vendors, including medical case management
- Minimum of 10 to 13 years of California workers' compensation claims adjusting experience
- Current license to adjust workers’ compensation claims in California
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work with a variety of internal and external contacts
- Industry designations such as Associate in Claims are highly regarded
- Experience in handling higher exposure claims
- Proven track record of developing strategies to resolve claims effectively
