Position Description
Overall Responsibilities:
The Software Quality Assurance Intern would support projects related to Quality Assurance. They would more heavily focus on understanding software development best practices, perform code reviews, analyzing test plans, giving feedback on project requirements, developing test automation scripts, some limited software development (mostly in C#), and gaining an understanding on how Software Quality Assurance effects business outcomes.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists in delivering quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners
- Partners with Development and IT Operations to ensure proper testing environments and system refreshes
- Learn and assist with developing and stewarding standards for software testing including, unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, negative testing, regression testing, security, and acceptance testing
- Applies CI principles to continuously improve daily work
- Actively participates in project, design, code, and architecture reviews providing input from the testing and quality perspective
- Set standards for test scripts to ensure the smooth automation of the test scripts
- All other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
- Majoring in Business Information Science, Computer Science, or related field
- Entering Sophomore, Junior, Senior year or Masters Level
- Self-motivated
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in C#
- Able to analyze and evaluate data
- Respectful of employees

Physical Requirements
Tolerance for sitting long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal. Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional light lifting (25 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
