Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Country Lane Manor is seeking an experienced Business Office Manager professional to join our skilled nursing facility in Keosauqua, Iowa. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day human resources operations, payroll processing, and business office functions while ensuring compliance with all labor laws, regulations, and facility policies.
Position SummaryThe Business Office Manager / HR supports both the Human Resources and Business Office departments by maintaining accurate payroll, HR records, benefits administration, and accounts receivable processes. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the facility operates efficiently, compliantly, and financially sound.
ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources & Payroll
- Maintain an effective, organized, and efficient payroll system
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely payroll reports
- Implement and maintain written HR policies and procedures
- Verify employment data and conduct background checks
- Enter and maintain employee data in the HRIS system, including payroll, benefits, and personal information
- Update HRIS records for benefits changes, wage increases, and employment status changes
- Assist with new employee orientation and onboarding
- Maintain benefit records including medical, dental, life insurance, voluntary benefits, PTO, ITO, and FMLA
Business Office & Accounting
- Ensure office supplies are requested, approved, and ordered according to policy
- Bill, monitor, and collect accounts receivable
- Report delinquent accounts to the Administrator and/or Director of Finance
- Assist with planning and implementing updates to accounting systems
- Perform all essential functions of the Accounting/Billing Assistant as needed
- High school diploma or GED required (post-secondary education preferred)
- Prior Human Resources and payroll experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of business office and/or accounting experience
, preferably in long-term care accounts receivable - Working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance billing
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
