Banquet Set

POSITION SUMMARY

The Banquet Set Up primary role is to prepare and organize all attributes for special functions and events, while ensuring Brand Standards and Banquet Department operating procedures are being followed. The Banquet Set Up will help with event preparation and clean up the area being used for an event.

• Set upand breakdown banquet meeting space per Event Order instructions, including tables, table complements (salt, pepper, sugar, bread sticks, etc.), table linens, table settings, center pieces, dishes, audio-visual equipment, and all other event provisions.
• Help with expected demand preparations, Table setting, utensil-plating, and center pieces
• Assist Banquet Manager with any pre-event needs.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of banquet spaces, before, during and after events.
• Provide excellent customer service to allguests that you may come in contact with.
• Communicate with Banquet Manager as well as other banquet staff.
• See to the comfort of guests by making sure that all pre-event needs are taken care of.
• Double check all documentation to make sure every aspect of event is correct.
• Hold to company and Brand standards.
• Support other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Observe Health Department guidelines for food handling and sanitation.
• Manage audio-visual equipment needed for all events.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• All other duties as assigned.

High School education or GED required to accomplish the essential functions of this job. Previous experience for medium to large groups preferred. Knowledge of catering practices preferred.
