The Receiver at Edgewood Tahoe Resort plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and supplies into the resort. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying deliveries to maintain accuracy, quality, and compliance with our high standards. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, efficient, and capable of collaborating closely with multiple departments to support seamless resort operations.
Your responsibilities ensure that all items meet quality standards and are transported promptly to their respective departments, supporting the resort’s commitment to luxury, excellence, and guest satisfaction.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage, ensuring compliance with purchase orders and resort standards.
- Unload, sort, and organize deliveries in the receiving area efficiently and safely.
- Verify quantities, product specifications, and condition of items received; report discrepancies or damages promptly.
- Ensure receiving area cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers regarding deliveries and issues.
- Ensure all received goods are stored in designated areas following resort standards and safety protocols.
- Deliver goods, supplies, and equipment promptly to various departments within the resort, such as housekeeping, kitchens, restaurants, and maintenance.
- Ensure that all deliveries are handled with care and professionalism, respecting the resort’s luxury brand standards.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines relevant to the resort and industry regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or related roles preferred, ideally within hospitality or luxury environments.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining the high standards of a luxury resort environment.
- Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, sitting and standing for extended periods.
