About the Job
Mitchell County Regional Health Center is in Osage, Iowa located in Mitchell County, which has a population of 10,600 people. MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.
Shift and HoursFull-Time (1.0 FTE) (40 hours per week)
Works Monday through Saturday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Pay- CMA starts at $19.61, increases with experience.
- LPN starts at $21.79, increases with experience.
- RN starts at $25.63, increases with experience.
- CMA
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required;
Graduate of an approved school for medical assistants;
Certification as a medical assistant is required (CMA, RMA, NCMA). - Experience: A minimum of six months work experience in a health care facility performing duties related to patient care is preferred;
Additional experience involving computerized data equipment is preferred. - Special Skills & Aptitudes: Strong communication skills, professional demeanor;
Strong organizational skills;
Basic computer and telephone skills;
Flexibility and adaptability;
Patient advocacy;
Accountability;
Must demonstrate BLS competency within six months.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required;
- LPN
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;
Current Iowa License as an LPN. - Experience: Six months previous clinic nursing experience preferred;
Additional experience with computerized data equipment preferred. - Special Skills & Competencies & Aptitudes: Strong communication skills;
Organizational skills and time management;
Flexibility and adaptability;
Basic computer and telephone skills;
Accountability;
Patient advocacy; BLS certification required within six months.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;
- RN
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program in professional nursing;
Current RN licensure in Iowa; ACLS and PALS certifications desired, or willing to obtain within 6 months. - Experience: Previous experience in a health care setting preferred.
- Special Skills & Aptitudes: Verbal and written communication;
Customer relations support; BLS/CPR certification;
Mandatory reporting requirement compliance;
Provides care within assigned unit;
Basic computer skills.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program in professional nursing;
