An opportunity has arisen for three permanent Staff Nurses based at various locations throughout Ayrshire.

You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, implementing, delivering and evaluating a range of mental health interventions to children and young people in CAMHS with supervision. You will assist in developing relationships and communications between the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team and partner agencies. You will cooperate with all practitioners within CAMHS to develop and deliver services to enable seamless and effective patient pathways to children and young people under the age of 18 years.

You will support clinical governance activity within the team, which will include the implementation of standards of care and service, participating in staff support, clinical supervision, continuous development and the implementation of policy and clinical guidelines.

• Registered professional qualification e.g. (RMN/RLDN).
• Degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrate evidence of CPD.
• Demonstrate an understanding of clinical governance principles and the development of systems and frameworks to establish clear accountabilities based on professional codes of practice.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003.
• Have an awareness of Child Protection legislation, Gender based violence, Adult Support and protection, Health and Safety Regulations, Data Protection and Caldicott Guidelines as they apply to all areas of practice. Ability to align your professional processes and systems to support and treat children and young people using the service.
• Demonstrate evidence of seeking ways to improve your practice.
• Awareness and understanding of relevant National and Local initiatives, and factors influencing service provision.
• Demonstrate an understanding of why it is important to involve service users, carers and other stakeholders to influence the service
• Support collaboration and team working within the team, cultivating the network of relationships internal and external to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

Monday to Friday, working 9am - 5pm.

A car driver/driving licence is essential for this role.
