Description
Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Environmental professional to join the Environmental group successful candidate will perform a variety of technical and administrative work to ensure that legal and other compliance obligations related to air quality permits and programs are achieved.

Responsibilities- Work closely with site personnel to ensure compliance to Title V, Class II, and MOPTC permits.
- Maintain and contribute to improvement of sustainable systems to ensure air compliance at all times within the organization.
- Prepare for inspections of operations to ensure permit compliance including accompanying regulatory inspectors on periodic inspections of work areas on the mine site.
- Participate in source testing activities, as assigned.
- Prepare semi-annual and annual compliance reports, as assigned.
- Manage contractor work, as applicable.
- Assist operating division personnel in achieving their objectives.
- Assist with training of NGM employees, contractors, and others.
- Responsible for periodic, after hours on-call response to environmental incidents, as needed.
- This position requires the ability to regularly walk over uneven, sloped, rocky, wet or icy ground and the ability to lift 40 or more pounds consistently and safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field required, but can be substituted with 5 years direct mining and air program related experience.
- Experience in Title V air permit compliance, including regulatory agency interactions preferred.
- One to three years in a mining industry setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large quantities of data from various sources required.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously required.
- In‑depth experience with Excel required.
