What to Expect
Tesla is currently looking for a Mechanical Quality Control Construction Manager to support infrastructure at our Gigafactory Nevada site.
What You’ll Do- Assist with the development of the site‑specific QA/QC program while driving a quality culture that embraces both "right first time" and a continuous learning approach that improves project efficiency and quality.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, commissioning agents and vendors to ensure that the site‑specific QC Program is followed for all projects.
- Execute the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation deliveries and activities on site.
- Confirm that scopes of work installation conforms to approved design drawings, specifications, and method.
- Witness & perform construction complete inspection checks & write QC reports verifying proper install per design & code standards.
- Obtain relevant documentation and ensure the correct implementation of the Inspection Test Plans for all things related to mechanical, plumbing & fire protection.
- Assist and coordinate final handover documentation including completion of construction punch lists.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of the construction quality process, means and methods, and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances.
- Experience in the construction quality management of mission critical facilities.
- Ability to research building codes (UMC, ICC, UL, IBC, other) and interpret the requirements against installed product.
- Strong computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Commissioning and/or multiple discipline experience is a plus.
