Colfax-Mingo Jr/Sr High School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Counselor for the 2026–2027 school year
. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally while helping them prepare for college, careers, and life beyond high school.

. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping every student reach their full potential by building meaningful relationships, providing guidance, and advocating for student success.

• Provide academic, career, and social-emotional counseling services to junior high and high school students
• Assist students with academic planning, goal setting, and post-secondary readiness
• Coordinate college and career exploration opportunities
• Support students in navigating personal and social challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
• Monitor student progress and assist with interventions when needed
• Promote a positive school climate that supports student well-being and achievement

• Valid Iowa School Counselor license (or ability to obtain)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to student-centered support and advocacy
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
