Business Teacher

• Curriculum & Instruction: Create lesson plans and teach subjects like accounting, economics, business law, keyboarding, marketing, and office procedures, using diverse methods (lectures, group work, technology).
• Student Assessment: Evaluate student performance via tests, assignments, and projects; provide feedback and maintain records.
• Student Support: Offer one-on-one help, career guidance, and mentorship, potentially helping with college/career pathways.
• Extracurriculars: Sponsor and advise business-related clubs (e.g., FBLA) and prepare students for competitions.
• Professional Development: Stay current with business trends, attend training, and collaborate with other educators and professionals.
• Classroom Management: Maintain an orderly, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment, handling discipline as needed.

• Develop and implement lesson plans, integrating current events and technology.
• Deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, and manage activities.
• Assess student work, track progress, and communicate with parents.
• Administer tests and prepare reports.
• Stay updated on industry developments and teaching methods.
• Assist with school administrative tasks and meetings.

• Strong understanding of business principles (finance, marketing, etc.).
• Ability to integrate technology and digital tools.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and motivational skills.
• Knowledge of current business trends and practices
• Requires an Iowa Teaching license with business-related endorsements such as:
  Business General, Business Marketing, Information Technology, etc.
