Field Placement Coordinator

Job Description

Graceland University has a full-time, eleven-month administrative position with possible faculty status open for a Field Placement Coordinator in the School of Education working on the Lamoni Campus.

Responsibilities:
Coordinating clinical experiences with specific duties to include: coordinating practica and student teacher placements; conducting information and orientation meetings for students, faculty, cooperating teachers, and staff, serving as liaison with area school systems; maintaining student teacher records; assisting students with licensure requirements, producing narrative and statistical reports; producing and maintaining clinical experience publications; providing personal advisement and counsel to students;

representing the college at various functions; and other duties as assigned. Must be willing to travel off-campus and to distance education environments. The coordinator must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and develop positive working relationships with college administration, faculty, staff, students, area school systems, and the general public. A potential of teaching up to 6 semester hours of teacher education coursework per semester depending on qualifications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in education and a minimum of three years public school teaching experience preferred.
