Overview
The Adel DeSoto Minburn Community School District is seeking an Art teacher for the 2026-27 school year to join our growing district. This position will be a 1.0 FTE at ADM Middle School. ADM Middle School is a progressive 7th & 8th grade building with small class sizes and an energetic, collaborative staff. The ADM Middle School serves approximately 350+ students and is located in Adel and shares the complex with the High School.
Qualifications- Valid Iowa Teacher License
- Art Endorsement
- Belief that each and every learner can achieve and work to make a positive impact in students' lives
- Knowledge of practices for an art education classroom including current research and evidence-based instructional practices
- Commitment to differentiated instruction
- Highly collaborative working with other teachers inside and outside of the art department
- Strong communication skills
- Interest to participate and seek out professional learning opportunities, implement strategies and show a reflective nature to grow professionally
- Strong formative and summative data analysis skills to make instructional decisions
- Effective record keeping and organizational skills
- Knowledge of using technology to enhance learning
