Description: Preschool Level II Special Education Associate

Class B, 7.5 hrs./day, 144 days/year. $14.94/hr. or $15.34/hr. with Associate’s Degree or higher or a para educator certificate.

• CDA® Credential
• Para educator Certificate
• Associate/ Bachelor Degree
• Two Years of College
• IQPPS
• Meets requirements; or has the equivalent; or is enrolled and working toward a CDA® or the equivalent (Must include generalist and EC Certificates)

• Accompany students to their activities.
• Keep students on task and organized.
• Assist students with personal hygiene needs.
• Supervise students in cafeteria, classrooms, playground, and patrol duties.
• Use computer and typing skills.
• Have basic understanding of math, science, and reading and writing skills, with ability to check students’ work.
• Capable of working with students in small groups (or individually, one-on-one).
• Follow written and oral directions.
• MANDT Training and Behavior Management preferred.
• Mobility and ability to lift required.
• Other duties as assigned.
• May require additional hours to help with students’ bussing needs.
