Hawarden is a licensed 25 bed CAH with 17 actual beds;
They have a full radiology complement except nuclear medicine on site. HRH has three clinics, 2 provider based/RHC and 1 freestanding clinic. One clinic is attached to the hospital and the other two are within 12 miles from the hospital.

Community Size: 2600 in the Town of Hawarden, 1300 Akron and 800 Ireton plus the surrounding people that live in the county.

Local Industries/Economy: Agricultural is predominant, school systems, coil craft and hospital are the major employers

• Rounding:
  Starts at 8 am with the team which includes social worker/case manager, pharmacist and nursing.

• Swing bed weekly rounding:
  Once per week to discuss transition of care for the swing bed patients.

Acuity: CHF, Cellulitis, COPD, Gastro

Subspecialty Support: Cardiology, Pulmonology and Infectious Disease via telemedicine

Experience + Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience practicing autonomously

• Ability to perform all procedures in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Setting

• Active IA License or the ability to obtain
