Mercy One Dyersville Medical Center is looking for an Emergency Medicine Physician to fill their full‑time need! The position is located in Dyersville, IA (zip 52040) at a critical access hospital that offers a comprehensive 3‑bed emergency department and a 20‑bed medical‑surgical department.

• 3 24‑hour shifts per month (minimum) – usually 24‑hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. (occasionally 12‑hour shifts).
• In‑house coverage with provider sleep room available.
• On‑call: in‑house coverage.
• Weekend coverage: as needed.

• Average 4 ED patients per day.
• Average 4 inpatients daily (observer, acute, and swingbed).
• Inpatient responsibilities:
  Yes, at Mercy One Dyersville Medical Center.
• EMR:
  Together Care (EPIC).
• Medical imaging:
  Yes.
• Laboratory and pharmacy services available.
• Support staff:
  • 2 RNs for all services
  • 1 CNA
  • 4 advanced practice providers (no supervision expected)

• Board Certified – ABEM or FP/IM with recent EM experience (REQUIRED).
• Active Iowa license (REQUIRED).
• Clean malpractice and background history (REQUIRED).
• NPDB review pulled within last month or within 90 days (REQUIRED).

• Flight reimbursement: $750/round trip cap (includes all taxes and fees, no upgrades).
• Lodging: 1.5× the GSA rate cap average for the total stay (includes taxes and fees).
• Rental car: $55/day cap (includes taxes and fees); upgrades over cap require pre‑approval.
• Mileage: IRS standard rate.
• Malpractice coverage must be included in rates.
• Orientation hourly: $173 rate cap.
• Holiday hourly and conversion fee ($25k rate cap).
