Precision Underground LLC is seeking a dedicated and safety-minded Construction Laborer to join our underground utility construction team. This full-time, entry-level position plays a critical role in supporting field operations, ensuring job site safety, and maintaining efficiency in all project phases. The Laborer will assist with trenching, directional drilling, and other underground construction tasks under the supervision of experienced crew leaders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Support trenching, plowing, and directional drilling operations.
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment at job sites.
- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of work zones.
- Perform site cleanup and debris removal to maintain safe work conditions.
- Operate small tools and assist in spotting equipment.
- Provide physical labor support to equipment operators and other crew members.
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow instructions from foremen and supervisors promptly and accurately.
- Travel to various worksites throughout the state, with occasional overnight stays.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in construction or underground utility work is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding labor.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for long periods.
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, mud, noise).
- Able to safely work around heavy equipment and moving machinery.
- Outdoor work environments including roadways, easements, rights‑of‑way, and residential areas.
- Exposure to dust, noise, and traffic.
- Work may include extended hours, including overtime, evenings, and weekends depending on project needs.
