Superintendent, Construction

Greenland Homes, a division of Absolute Group, is an employee‑owned residential home builder in the Des Moines area. We are looking to bring on a full‑time superintendent. This person will prioritize and perform site duties for the home building process, and will be able to use their hands and be physically active daily.

• Perform on‑site job management for multiple jobs and ensure overall project safety
• Manage projects based on schedules and budget
• Communicate and coordinate with subcontractors, Greenland Homes team members, and material suppliers throughout the home building process
• Resolve issues to maintain productivity and relationships
• Ensure quality control and compliance with the project plans and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Establish goals and motivate others to reach those goals

• Successful candidate be able to demonstrate positive, confident, and respectful traits with a team‑oriented attitude
• Possess general knowledge of construction and how to use power/hand tools safely
• Have accurate blueprint reading skills
• Possess a current/valid driver’s license
• Have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Be a self‑motivator
• Have 3 or more years of experience as a construction superintendent or foreman
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
• Need to be able to take instruction with minimal follow up
• Excel and thrive in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines
