Overview
As a Multi-Unit Team Leader at a Block Advisors office, you will serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office related growth objectives (clients, revenue and earnings) for three offices. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.
Responsibilities- Start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season; from January to April, transition to full-time (evening and weekend hours as needed); after tax season, work a reduced schedule May through December and may apply for advancement opportunities.
- Lead and develop associates; deliver excellent client experiences; achieve office growth targets for three offices.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager (DGM) to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets; develop local partnerships and manage office community involvement.
- Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns in collaboration with the Associate Relations Center.
- Foster an engaging team environment across all offices by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create staff work schedules across all offices; ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management for associates.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- People management experience, with the ability to grow and develop associates.
- Demonstrated aptitude for growth plan execution and leading toward a growth culture.
- Strong decision-making and judgment skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset to understand and exceed client needs.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).

Pay Range InformationThe pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply.
