The White Pine County Clerk is seeking applicants for an open position for Deputy County Clerk
.
Two years of office clerical experience performing a broad range of clerical tasks which required application of complex procedures in a formal office setting. Must pass a criminal background check and be bondable.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Functions and responsibilities of the office of the County Clerk;
- Operation of standard office equipment;
- Bookkeeping and record keeping principles and practices;
- Legal terminology;
- Proper usage of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation;
- Word processing and spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Work independently;
- Learn, understand, and apply specific rules, codes, regulations, and procedures;
- Communicate and maintain effective working relationships with other office personnel and those conducting business with the office;
- Work under pressure of deadlines and public scrutiny;
- Perform detailed office support work;
- Organize and maintain files and records;
- Provide information in person, on the telephone, via fax, and e-mail;
- Operate standard office equipment including computers, scanners, printer, fax machines, copiers, and telephones;
- Type at a rate sufficient to perform assigned duties.
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.
Pay Rate$24.42-$26.19 per hour (Grade 127 Step Z-2) This position includes standard county benefits and NV PERS.
