In‑office only.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief of Business Services and Staff Services Manager I, the incumbent will maintain and organize records in Room 1 and the records database, conduct purchases for Administration staff, develop and maintain detailed reports, serve as the Administration property control liaison, and coordinate bulk IT equipment procurement for Administration. The incumbent also backs up reception, mailroom, carpool, cashiering, and the District’s Executive Assistant.

The incumbent will have daily contact with District 1 and North Region employees, contractors, vendors, engineering consultants, and the public, presenting themselves in a courteous professional manner. The role requires manual dexterity for tasks that involve bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Long periods of computer use, sustained mental activity, problem solving, analysis, and reasoning are required. The incumbent must develop cooperative working relationships, respond appropriately to difficult situations, and exhibit initiative and independence.

Qualifications
  • All candidates must take and pass the applicable examination for this job to be eligible.
  • Eligible candidates must be on the state examination list; new to state civil services employment must apply for the exam.
  • Manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, ability to sit for long periods at a computer, and sustained mental activity are required.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills are required.
