Vaco is partnering with one of our clients to identify a

Senior Accountant

to support their Accounting and Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a stable and growing organization and contribute to key consolidation, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Summary

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in the company’s month-end close and financial consolidation processes. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing consolidated financial statements, performing intercompany reconciliations, and assisting in technical accounting and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for improving accounting processes and reporting accuracy.

Responsibilities

Consolidations & Reporting:
Perform monthly and quarterly consolidations for multiple entities and assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules. Month-End Close:
Support and execute close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial statement review. Intercompany & Budgeting:
Perform intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and assist with annual budget and forecast preparation. Analysis & Process Improvement:
Analyze subsidiary financial data, identify trends or discrepancies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and automate reporting processes. Technical Accounting:
Assist with research and application of US GAAP guidance (e.g., ASC 810, ASC 842), and support audit and compliance activities.

Collaboration:

Partner cross-functionally with accounting, finance, and operations teams to ensure data integrity and process alignment. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or multi-entity environment Strong understanding of US GAAP and consolidation principles Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
