DetailsThe Research Assistant will work as a member of the research team supporting Dr. K. Parekh’s Cardiothoracic research program through the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Assistant will perform cutting-edge translational research in a ferret lung transplantation model. This research program specializes in studies of stem cell physiology in the context of chronic lung allograft dysfunction and other lung diseases and aims to utilize regenerative medicine approaches to treat pulmonary diseases.
