Animal Clinic Inc. is a small animal practice with over 57 years of combined experience. We serve Iowa City and the surrounding communities and pride ourselves on being thoughtful, high-touch, educational, and family-oriented practitioners.
In addition to industry-leading wellness care, we have experienced all types of conditions and treatments throughout our many years. Our regularly utilized equipment and services include a full in-house laboratory, ultrasound, digital radiology, surgical laser, therapy laser, acupuncture, and more.

Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program provides 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help them become 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.
Externships typically last 2 weeks, and Heartland will cover lodging costs if needed.
The length of the externship is flexible, and we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

Qualifications:
Eligibility
Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
Must be able to provide a student PLIT.
