The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Health Care is looking for a PRN Senior Physical Therapist to administer treatment to patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders and/or injuries and evaluate and interpret findings. This position will primarily be assigned to the adult inpatient acute care setting. Weekday and Weekend hours are available.

• A minimum of a Bachelor s degree in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor s degree in another field and a Physical Therapy Certificate is required
• 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care hospital setting is required, with a high degree of understanding and skill in one or more areas of assigned responsibility
• Demonstrated clinical education abilities and leadership is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

• Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required

• 3+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist
• 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following patient care specialties in acute care setting including ICU, cardiology, burn, orthopedics
• Demonstrates leadership abilities
• Demonstrates experience as part of a multidisciplinary medical team
• Job related experience with and/or commitment to service excellence
