We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic After School Program Staff to join our team. This role is essential in providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. We’re looking for someone who can work Thursdays and can occasionally sub when someone cannot work their shift.

Our program is 2:45 to 5:30pm located in downtown Iowa City!

• Support the educational and developmental needs of students in various settings.
• Implement classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Foster relationships with students to encourage their social and emotional growth.
• Collaborate with other staff members to develop and execute program activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to educators and parents when necessary.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during program activities.

• Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential.
• Certification in First Aid is preferred.
• Previous experience working with students in an educational or recreational capacity is highly valued.
• Experience working with children in tutoring or mentoring roles is beneficial.
• A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students are essential for success in this role.
• We’re looking for someone who is reliable and can communicate with staff with schedules.
• Someone who has a sense of humor, loves to interact with students while maintaining an efficient and fun environment.
