Overview
The University of Iowa Department of Internal Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking an ABIM board eligible or board-certified Infectious Diseases physician at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. This position will involve inpatient and outpatient consultative care for general Infectious Disease patients at the University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center on the University campus, Medical Center Downtown (community setting), and possible limited time at Medical Center North Liberty (Orthopedic-).
An outpatient component of staffing the virology clinic (HIV clinic) and/or Travel Clinic is available if desired.
Provide inpatient and outpatient consultative care for general Infectious Disease patients. Duties include patient care at the University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center on campus, Medical Center Downtown, and potentially Medical Center North Liberty for Orthopedic-. Participate in outpatient staffing of the virology clinic and/or Travel Clinic if desired.
QualificationsRequired:
MD or equivalent degree. ABIM board eligible or board certified in Infectious Diseases.
Desirable: strong clinical skills and a record of excellent interpersonal skills with students, staff, and faculty. Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
