Join Our Team as a Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Ionia, MI

As a Locum CRNA, you'll deliver high-quality anesthesia services for general surgical and endoscopy procedures, supporting the surgical team with independence and remote supervision. Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently administer anesthesia for general surgical and endoscopy cases, both adult and pediatric.
  • Perform minor nerve blocks, IV regional, plexus, spinal, and epidural anesthesia.
  • Manage ventilation and local infiltration procedures.
  • Cover approximately 15 cases per day in a Level 4 trauma facility.
  • Work day shifts (7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday) with no on-call requirements.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation.
  • Operate in a setting with 2 operating rooms and 1 endoscopy room, aligning with a multidisciplinary team.
Required Skills:
  • Valid Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) licensure.
  • Proven experience in surgical anesthesia procedures, including regional techniques.
  • Strong understanding of ventilation management and anesthesia safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently with remote supervision.
Nice to Have

Skills:
  • Experience working in hospital settings with pediatric to geriatric patient populations.
  • Familiarity with trauma case management.
  • Previous exposure to Level 4 trauma centers.
Preferred

Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthetist program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical anesthesia experience preferred.
  • Active state licensure and certification.
Other Requirements:
  • Credentialing process anticipated to take approximately 60 days.
  • Ability to bill mileage at IRS rates when applicable.
  • Must be able to start by March 1, 2026.
  • Orientation will be compensated at half the hourly rate.
