About the Position
Join Our Team as a Locum - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Ionia, MI
Are you a dedicated CRNA seeking a rewarding locum opportunity to make a difference in patient care? We are looking for a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide independent anesthesia services at UMH Ionia.
This role offers a chance to work in a dynamic hospital setting, assisting with a wide range of surgical and endoscopy procedures, all while enjoying a supportive team environment.
In this critical position, you will deliver safe, efficient anesthesia care for a diverse patient demographic, from pediatrics to geriatrics, in a Level 4 trauma facility with an annual ER volume of 16,000. The position features day shifts (7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday) with remote supervision from an anesthesiologist, free from on-call responsibilities, covering scheduled vacation periods. Required Skills:
Valid CRNA certification and state licensure
Proven experience in general surgical anesthesia and endoscopy procedures
Proficiency in anesthesia techniques including nerve blocks, IV regional, plexus, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia
Ability to manage ventilation and local infiltration anesthesia
Strong documentation skills; experience with EPIC EMR preferred
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently with remote supervision
Nice to Have
Skills:
Previous experience working in trauma or emergency settings
Additional certifications in advanced airway management or pain management
Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
Preferred
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of CRNA practice experience
Prior experience in a hospital environment, preferably in a Level 4 trauma center
Other Requirements:
Successful credentialing within approximately 60 days
Flexibility to handle scheduled vacation coverage
Mileage reimbursement at IRS standard rate
Commitment to adhering to all hospital safety and procedural protocols
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently as needed
