Join Our Team as a Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Ionia, MI!

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CRNA to provide independent anesthesia care for general surgical and endoscopy procedures at UMH Ionia. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in a supportive environment, working day shifts with remote supervision, no on-call requirements, and covering vacation schedules. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver anesthesia for approximately 15 daily cases in both operating room and endoscopy settings
• Perform general surgical procedures on pediatric and adult patients
• Administer nerve blocks, IV regional anesthesia, plexus, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia
• Manage ventilation and local infiltration as required
• Operate within a team of RNs and technicians to ensure patient safety and quality care

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid CRNA certification and state licensure in Michigan
• Proven proficiency in general anesthesia, peripheral nerve blocks, and regional anesthesia techniques
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently under remote supervision
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced surgical environment

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in a Level 4 trauma setting
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
• Advanced skills in airway management or complex anesthesia procedures

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Master's degree or higher in Nurse Anesthesia or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of current CRNA experience, ideally in hospital or surgical center settings

Other Requirements:

• Credentialing estimated within 60 days
• Mileage for travel reimbursed at IRS standard rate
• Availability to start on or around March 1, 2026

This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $180.90, with additional benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage (W-2), paid sick leave, licensure and travel reimbursements, and a robust referral bonus program. Orientation is provided at half the hourly rate, and holiday pay is at 1.5x the standard rate.
