Loan Officer

Are you passionate about agriculture and finance? Green Stone Farm Credit Services is seeking a dedicated Loan Officer to join our team. As a Loan Officer, you will have the opportunity to provide lending and agricultural expertise to our valued customers. Your role will involve building strong relationships with customers to increase our loan portfolio. We are looking for someone who can combine agricultural and business knowledge with an in-depth understanding of each customer's current financial position.

• Building Customer Relationships:
  As a Loan Officer you will gather financial information from customers and listen attentively to their needs. By identifying both expressed and latent needs, you'll be able to provide tailored solutions or alternatives that meet their specific requirements.
• Maintaining Sales Database:
  You'll maintain a comprehensive sales database file, ensuring all customer interactions and transactions are accurately recorded. Additionally, you'll establish ongoing prospecting plans and activities to attract new customers while nurturing existing relationships.
• Setting Sales Goals:
  You'll develop a commitment to individual sales goals for both loans and financial services, striving to exceed targets and contribute to the overall success of Green Stone.
• Collaborating with Specialists:
  You'll have the opportunity to make joint sales calls with tax, accounting, insurance, or other specialists, showcasing Green Stone's wide range of financial services and exceptional customer service.
• Differentiating Green Stone:
  You'll differentiate Green Stone as the go-to organization for a variety of financial services, demonstrating a commitment to exceeding customer expectations in every interaction.
• Community Engagement:

• Analyzing Loan Requests:
  You'll analyze moderately sized mortgage and commercial loan requests, either independently or with a Credit Analyst. Your detailed, accurate, and timely analysis will ensure that loan decisions align with Green Stone's risk parameters and customer needs.

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 1+ years of experience in the agribusiness/farming industry or equivalent experience in agriculture credit or closely related field experience required

• Basic knowledge of loan products and services and credit operations
• Knowledge of farm production methods and products
• General understanding of farm business management, finance, macroeconomics
• Knowledge of various business/financial applications
