Operations Manager
We’re looking for a practical, hands‑on Workshop Supervisor to support the day‑to‑day running of our Agricultural, Construction and Ground Care workshop in Inverurie.
This role suits someone who takes real pride in their work, has a strong work ethic, and leads by example on the workshop floor. You’ll be passionate about doing the job properly, supporting your team, and delivering a reliable, high‑quality service to customers.
Our workshop supports a wide range of leading equipment franchises, carrying out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and warranty work for customers across the region. You’ll play a key role in making sure work is planned well, standards are high, and our values are reflected in how we work every day.
You’ll be working across a diverse and respected portfolio of equipment brands, including:
- Bobcat – agricultural and construction equipment
- Bomag – compaction and road construction equipment
- Iseki – tractors and agricultural machinery
- STIHL – professional ground care and forestry equipment
- Honda – ground care and power equipment
- Supervise daily workshop operations and technician workloads
- Coordinate and prioritise field service jobs alongside workshop work
- Allocate jobs based on urgency, skillset, location and customer needs
- Monitor job progress and adjust priorities as required
- Ensure work is completed to a high standard, on time and right first time
- Lead by example with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Support and motivate workshop and field service technicians
- Encourage pride in workmanship, teamwork and accountability
- Support onboarding, training and skills development
- Escalate performance, attendance or conduct issues when required
- Champion safe working practices and personal responsibility
- Ensure work is carried out safely across workshop and field service
- Promote a clean, organised and professional working environment
- Work closely with the Branch Manager and wider branch teams
- Communicate clearly, honestly and respectfully with colleagues and customers
- Flag risks, delays or capacity issues early
- Experience in a workshop, service or engineering environment
- Supervisory experience or a strong desire to step into a leadership role
- Passion for the industry and for doing a job well
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills
- A reliable, hands‑on approach and strong work ethic
- A values‑led mindset and team‑focused attitude
- Agricultural, construction or ground care equipment experience
- Technical or mechanical background
