Overview

Are you a trades professional looking to pivot into the NHS? NHS Highland Estates Department has a full‑time vacancy for a Multi Skilled Trades Technician covering the Inverness/Ross/Skye Community Areas. The role involves mechanical, plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair of building services, plant and equipment, supporting excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out mechanical, plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair of building services.
  • Maintain plant and equipment to support NHS patient care.
  • Work within a health‑care environment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Provide shift cover and participate in on‑call rota where required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Electrical background essential; recognised Electrical qualification required.
  • Current UK driving licence.
  • Experience with heating services, boiler plant, pumps and ventilation systems is advantageous.
  • Self‑motivated team player, comfortable with remote work.
  • Flexible to variations in working week; willing to work evenings, weekends and overtime.
