As a Cook with Cross Reach, you will play a key role in creating nutritious, appealing meals that support the health, wellbeing and enjoyment of the people who use our services. Working as part of a wider team, you will help ensure mealtimes are welcoming, well organised and responsive to individual needs.

What your role will involve

  • Preparing and cooking balanced meals in line with planned menus
  • Catering for individual dietary needs, preferences and cultural requirements
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
  • Managing stock, food storage and kitchen supplies
  • Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with regulations
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support positive mealtime experiences

About you

You will have experience of cooking in a professional or large-scale kitchen environment and a good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards. You are organised, reliable and take pride in preparing meals that are both nutritious and enjoyable. You will be able to work independently as well as part of a team, communicate effectively with colleagues, and approach your work with warmth, respect and professionalism in line with the values of Cross Reach.
