Job Description & How to Apply Below

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking qualified nurse /ODP who is keen to learn new skills and join the National Treatment Centre - Highland (NTC) Theatre Team.

Previous theatre recovery experience is preferrable.

The NTC-H is a purpose built centre which provides care for both Ophthalmology and Orthopaedic Patients. The Centre is located on the City's University Campus and has 5 theatres, a 24-bedded ward and dedicated Ophthalmology Outpatient Department.

This post will be based in the theatre recovery department caring for elective orthopaedic and ophthalmology patients post‑op until they are able to return to the ward. We will also be looking to develop the role further to increase career development opportunities.

We are aspiring to build resilience across the Theatre Team within the NTC by providing opportunities to develop a wide‑range of skills and work flexibly as a Team, and to ultimately develop advanced practice roles within a theatre environment.
