An excellent opportunity has arisen for a registered Dietitian to join our friendly, proactive Dietetic team in Highland! This post is a rotational Band 5 role and is a fantastic opportunity to practice all you have learnt, to develop your knowledge and skills.

We will give you all the support you need as you join a multidisciplinary team of HCPs, you will be well supported by experienced senior colleagues and Team Leaders. Additional support will be available through the NHS preceptorship programme, Band 5 Dietetic peer-support group and plenty of opportunities for CPD.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to cover Acute Specialist areas based at Raigmore Hospital including general medical, surgical, gastro, stroke, care of the elderly, respiratory and Community Specialist areas including Rural General Hospitals and Community Hospitals from the main Dietetic base in Inverness. There will also be shadowing opportunities including ICU, Parenteral Nutrition, Renal, Oncology, and innovative Preventative programmes delivered in Primary care.

Clinical supervision and support will be provided by experienced senior colleagues and your Band 5 rotational peers. There will also be an opportunity to contribute to the student placement program shaping the future of the Dietetic Workforce; we deliver ABC undergraduate placements.

On site accommodation is usually available, and applicants from students graduating this year are welcomed.

  • Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
