Cross Reach is recruiting an Addictions Worker to deliver specialist one to one therapeutic support to people accessing our residential and day services. This role focuses on helping individuals build insight, resilience and healthier coping strategies within a safe, respectful and supportive environment.

What your role will involve

  • Delivering individual therapy sessions for people with addiction support needs
  • Working closely with Specialist Addiction Workers to agree therapeutic goals and priorities
  • Using REBT and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approaches to support recovery
  • Creating a safe, non judgemental space where clients can build confidence and trust
  • Monitoring progress, reviewing outcomes and sharing feedback with colleagues
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential records and contributing to reviews and discussions

About you

You are a compassionate and skilled practitioner with a genuine commitment to supporting people affected by addiction. You will be confident delivering one to one therapeutic interventions and understand the importance of boundaries, confidentiality and collaborative working. Ideally, you will hold a relevant qualification such as SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, counselling or addictions training, REBT, motivational interviewing or a psychology related qualification, or have equivalent experience.

You will be willing to register with the SSSC, join the PVG Scheme and work respectfully within the Christian ethos of Cross Reach.
