Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Senior CAD Technician in our rapidly growing Perth or Inverness offices – whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. At AECOM, we’re at the forefront of innovation, delivering an exceptional portfolio of water programmes and projects through long-term partnerships with key clients. These include Scottish Water’s SR27 programme, a multi-billion pound transformation of Scotland’s water and wastewater infrastructure over the period to 2033, with a possible extension to 2039.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects spanning the breadth of the water industry, and support a talented and experienced team committed to innovation and efficiency.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Contribute ideas and work collaboratively with engineers and technicians to develop efficient solutions to complex engineering problems.
  • Play an active part in our team, supporting others and encouraging the development of junior team members.
  • Apply a sound understanding of engineering principles to support the preparation of engineering designs and to produce accurate AutoCAD drawings and models.
  • Deliver high quality outputs in line with project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Experience in an engineering design environment, doing structural design and detailing
    -such as reinforced concrete detailing.
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD.
  • A proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to technical excellence and a strong focus on client satisfaction.
