Overview:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our clients team working across the HV, Energy and Renewable sector throughout the UK.
This role involves managing and coordinating civil and electrical elements from tender stage through to project completion, with a strong focus on safety, quality, civil design, and client interface.
Key Responsibilities:
• Technically review subcontractor tender submissions to support commercial selection
• Liaise with civil and electrical designers to ensure design compliance
• Manage client interfaces and approval processes for civil works
• Review and quality-check designs prior to client issue
• Coordinate input into client and utility design reviews
• Prepare subcontract packages in conjunction with the Project Manager and QS
• Project manage civil subcontractors from mobilisation through to handover
• Coordinate with electrical design and construction teams to ensure correct installation and handover
• Capture and manage variations, notifying the QS in a timely manner
• Manage civil subcontractors, consultants, and associated redesign works
• Ensure compliance with client management systems and contract documentation
• Deliver projects safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
• Manage, assess, and develop project teams
Requirements:
• Third level degree in Civil Engineering / Energy / Renewable Engineering
• 5+ years’ experience as a Civil Engineer with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience in setting out, design coordination, and AutoCAD
• High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workloads
• Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels
• Team-oriented with a proactive approach
• Willingness to travel across UK project sites
