About

The Role

We’re seeking a Consents & Environment Manager with a strong project delivery focus to join a major infrastructure programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring environmental compliance and facilitating timely project delivery across some of Scotland’s most critical energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on consents condition discharge, environmental licensing, and preparation of environmental contract specifications.
  • Coordinate and monitor contractor environmental compliance, ensuring all statutory and internal obligations are met.
  • Scope, tender, award, and manage multiple consultancy contracts for EnvCoW support services and post-planning surveys.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders (consenting bodies, statutory authorities, key consultees).
  • Drive environmental and regulatory performance across contractors and project teams.
  • Conduct scheduled inspections and audits to ensure compliance with planning consents.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven project management experience in major infrastructure projects, including cost, risk, quality, and timing management.

  • Ideally, a degree in Environmental Studies (postgraduate qualification desirable) and experience in infrastructure or environmental consultancy.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body is a plus.
