BIM Manager – SSEN Transmission

Base

Location:

Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness (Scotland)

Salary: £42,600 – £64,000 + performance bonus + benefits

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible options available

Role

Due to expansion within SSEN Transmission’s Offshore Delivery Directorate, we seek an Information Management focused BIM Manager to lead digital data and modelling management across a large-scale energy framework in Scotland.

Responsibilities
  • Support legal and commercial teams with contract preparation, PQQs, and digital implementation documentation.
  • Define and manage the Exchange & Information Requirements (EIR) in line with industry standards and internal governance.
  • Lead all project‑specific digital information: contractor and supplier engagement, problem‑solving queries, managing data from integrated software, systems, and technology.
  • Support Document Control in setting up and managing project spaces within the Common Data Environment (CDE) following BS EN ISO 19650.
  • Lead BIM Coordinators in model interrogation, coordination, federation, and clash detection across package contractors.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience as Lead BIM Coordinator, BIM or Information Manager on major infrastructure projects (BIM
    360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of CAD and modelling for energy or linear/vertical infrastructure (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks).
  • Experience with GIS applications, preferably Esri GIS and Autodesk tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 and UK BIM Framework guidance; project management experience is an advantage.
  • Practical experience in model coordination, clash detection and federation with Navisworks or similar systems.
