Overview

Are you an experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator looking to take the next step in your career with a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor? The Company

Our client is a well-established and reputable civil engineering contractor, specialising in refurbishment and strengthening works across roads, bridges, rail, and wider infrastructure projects.

The Role

As an Estimator / Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive cost estimates across a range of civil engineering projects. The role requires strong attention to detail, commercial awareness, and close collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams
  • Source, assess, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Review and update estimates as scope and project requirements evolve
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within civil engineering
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant regulations
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
