Fixed term / Secondment for 6 months
We are excited to offer a 6‑month fixed‑term opportunity for a Band 6 Learning and Development Facilitator to join our Corporate Learning and Development team within Education, Learning and Organisational Development (ELOD).
This role is ideal for colleagues who are passionate about workplace learning, with experience in facilitation, training, or content design, and who are keen to gain experience in a corporate training environment.
About the RoleAs a Learning and Development Facilitator, you will:
- Design and deliver engaging learning resources and activities that support staff development across NHS Highland.
- Work with colleagues across ELOD to support organisational development priorities.
- Facilitate both face‑to‑face and virtual learning sessions using Microsoft Teams and other digital platforms.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our corporate training offer.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in delivering or facilitating training for individuals or teams.
- Skilled in communication and confident in engaging with a range of staff groups.
- Competent in using Microsoft Teams and digital tools for learning delivery.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Innovative, with a can‑do attitude, and passionate about using best practice to support staff in delivering excellent patient care.
Full support and training will be provided, though some prior experience in training, facilitation, or content design is expected. This secondment is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in education, training, and organisational development while contributing to staff learning and development across the organisation. Eligibility and SponsorshipThis role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a work permit, and NHS Highland is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
Additional Information for Candidates- Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
