Variable Hours Supply contract

Grade Unpromoted Lecturer from £41,833 - £50,359 pro‑rata (per annum)

UHI Inverness works closely with industry to design curriculum that meets evolving regional needs, through a personalised approach that provides students with a combination of qualification and job‑ready skills. The Scottish School of Forestry (Balloch) is a growing hub for research, innovation and enterprise set within a 215‑acre site.

We are seeking a candidate for a supply lecturer in the Land and Science team to work alongside academic colleagues, delivering our Forestry courses. The successful candidate will be based at the Scottish School of Forestry in Balloch, Inverness.

We are looking for candidates who have experience working in Forestry and/or related industries, capable of training students in the use of vehicles (e.g., tractors, ATVs), and supporting practical skills such as fencing, tool maintenance, harvesting, and other rural activities. Effective interpersonal skills and good IT skills are required. A teaching qualification is not mandatory, but experience in instructing or teaching is welcomed.

Successful candidates will be subject to a PVG Disclosure Scotland and other background checks.
