Accounts Assistant Kingussie​/Grantown​/Aviemore

Goldwells is recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join its team across its Highland offices.

• You will assist in preparing annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• You will prepare and submit VAT returns.
• You will process bookkeeping using software such as Excel, Quick Books, Xero, Sage or similar systems.
• You will liaise with clients to resolve bookkeeping and accounting queries.
• You will reconcile bank and control accounts.
• You will support senior accountants with additional work as required.
• You will undertake reception and general administrative duties where needed.

This is a 36 hour role across four days. Hours are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5.30pm. The role may be based in Kingussie, Grantown, Aviemore or Inverness.

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice or accounts department is advantageous.
• You must have strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• You should be confident communicating with both clients and colleagues.
• Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage or similar is required.
• You must be able to manage deadlines effectively.
