Electrical Engineer​/PLC Programmer

The Position:

PLC design and programming for packaging machines. Ensuring cooperation and the flow of information with all other project participants.

• Create and develop PLC control software for packaging machines and transport systems
• Programming software functions and sequential controls based on our standard software
• Supervising the download of PLC programs, HMI applications, and program parameters after initial machine power-up
• Ensuring machine safety and regulations conformity
• Complete tasks according to our timelines, requirement documents and to the project plan
• Supporting and troubleshooting inhouse and at customer site
• Offering training to the Technicians and other team members
• Working in coordination with Engineering and Production teams

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent (along with 4-5 years experience)
• Extensive knowledge of PLC programming, Rockwell experience is a must
• Expert knowledge in Studio 5000 Logix Designer, Factory Talk View
• Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical and software principles
• Basic knowledge of NEC and UL regulations
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Excellent ability to work independently with no supervision
• Must have a keen eye for details and accuracy
• Willingness to travel
• Willingness for intercultural cooperation (especially with our German programming team)
• Ability to deal with program code that is mostly written in German (changeover to English/bilingual is planned)

Salary Range: $80K - $90K per year
